This information cannot be construde as medical advise. It's purpose is educational and inspirational. Historic Future, Inc. reccomends all moms with nursing problems see a professional lactation consultant and consult with the baby's pediatrition or other health care professional. If you have questions please e-mail nursing@lowmilksupply.com .

Question: I should try taking fenugreek to produce more milk?

Answer: Fenugreek is one of several herbs known to increase breastmilk. That's why it is one of the ingredients in the Tea sold on my website.

Basic Tips:

Nurse Often
Supliment if needed
See a professional lactation consultant
A digital scale would be useful to know how much your baby is getting from you
Don't give up!

We reccomend drinking Oais ProLactation Tea 3 times per day.

Question: Where can I get domperidone? How are you able to do that without a prescription?

Answer: Unfortunately we are not able to help you with domperidone. Try this site, it's where I get mine ;-) http://www.healthworldpharmacy.com . They are able to send it to you without perscription becuase they are not located within the United States. It maybe illegal to buy it this way but...I'm not a lawyer or a cop.

Question: What was your pumping output prior to the oasis lactation tea, and what was it after you started taking it? and how long before you noticed an increase?

Answer: It's important to know that everyone responds differently. The main change in me was that I became so full I started leaking and my breasts became hard, which had never happened before. I'm guessing the herbs helped me to double the amount. I noticed a change within 24 hours.

Question: We are thinking of adopting and also my husband wants to nurse me erotically will this work for that.

Answer: You need to see a good lactation consultant prior to addoption. I have heard it is possible to induce lactation in adopting mothers. I realy can't speak on the subject of your husband's "idea" other than to say he should stop after lactation has commenced (save it for the baby.)

Question: I am using Avent Bottles to supplement my low milk supply and have had no problem with my baby latching to the breast. She is 5 weeks old now. Is this going to continue or can it change with the oncoming months? Should I permenantly switch to the Gerber Slow flow. Has anyone else used the Avent bottles with success?

Also, does low milk supply mean that I should not consume as many calories as weight gain will be imminent (the Dr. said I needed to consume 2500 calories and then my milk supply would be abundant!)? If I do start to lactate with the Oasis Tea, am I allowed a few more calories?

Answer: First I'm sure you've heard that every baby is different. There are some similarities of course but no one can predict wheather or not a particular bottle will cause a baby to stop nursing. The Gerber works for me. If you notice that your baby gets frustrated with nursing you may wish to switch to a slower nipple. But otherwise there is no need to change.

As far as calories go, stick with your Doctors advice. My one recomendation would be to make every calorie count. In otherwords NO JUNK FOOD! There is a big difference between eating an apple and a bananna for breatfast then a bowl or two of Lucky Charms. Aslo I would continue taking your prenatal vitamins while you are nursing. For now focus your energy on eating the right foods and keeping your baby nursing. Worry about your weight later.

As always this does not consitute medical advice. These are my opinions only. You should only follow the advice of your medical professionals.
